The Windsong Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of women committed to advancing the musical art of barbershop harmony through education and performances.
Established
in 1973, the Windsong Chorus is based in Sterling, Colorado and is well known throughout Eastern Colorado, Western Kansas
and Western Nebraska for their great singing and their creative and entertaining shows.
Members
of the Windsong Chorus come from all over the tri-state area and range in age from the “young” to “the rest
of us”. They include teachers, nurses, office workers, students, stay-at-home
moms and retired women. Every Thursday night they come together to sing, laugh
and learn more about the Barbershop craft.
Audiences
of all ages are charmed by these exciting performers who present a mix of old and new songs in the barbershop style. Their unique sound mixed with fun choreography, beautiful costumes and lively humor
makes the Windsong Chorus a favorite of audiences where ever they travel.

Windsong presents
A MOST EXCELLENT ADVENTURE!
Preparations are underway for our 2008 Fall Show. The show is tentatively
scheduled for October 25th at the Dorothy Corsberg Theatre on the NJC Campus, Sterling, Colorado.
Come with Windsong Chorus and friends as we take
a little trip by airliner. Songs that are planned include:
Come Fly With Me, Leavin' On A Jet Plane, Stormy Weather
......and more!

SWEET ADELINES INTERNATIONAL
If singing an exciting variety of choral music arranged in four-part harmony, with friends,
sounds appealing to you, get acquainted with Sweet Adelines International.
Sweet Adelines International is a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers
committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances. This independent, nonprofit
music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women. "Harmonize the World" is the organization's
motto.
The international membership of nearly 30,000 women, all singing in English, includes choruses
in most of the fifty United States, as well as in Australia, Canada, England, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand,
Scotland, Sweden and the Netherlands. There are also prospective choruses in Denmark, Greece and United Arab Emirates. The
organization encompasses more than 1,200 registered quartets and 600 choruses.

Our Director
Neala Carmichael has directed the Windsong Chorus for 27 years. An exceptional
musician, Neala teaches chorus members much more than the notes and words on the page. She is funny, warm and gracious and
makes guests and members alike feel comfortable and welcome at every occasion. Her philosophy of Sweet Adelines is "keep it
fun, keep learning and keep singing great music".
We invite you to visit us at any rehearsal.
We meet every Thursday evening at Christ United Methodist Church in downtown Sterling, Colorado. Our members will
be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about our chorus and Sweet Adelines International and how
